Civil Labourer – Road Construction & Maintenance

Are you an experienced plant operator or a hardworking civil labourer looking for your next challenge? Randstad is currently seeking civil labourers within local councils across the North & Eastern suburbs.

This is an excellent opportunity for those with a background in roadworks and heavy machinery to secure stable work in a team-oriented environment. We are looking for dedicated individuals who take pride in building and maintaining community infrastructure, with a proactive approach to safety and the ability to operate plant equipment with precision.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your day-to-day will be varied, covering road maintenance and rural projects. Tasks include:

• Road Maintenance: Handling construction tasks, including potholing and manual shoveling.

• Vegetation Management: Rural tree trimming using chainsaws and pole saws.

• Site Support: Slings/shifting cement pipes (acting as a spotter for the Rigger) and operating an EWP (under 11m) if licensed.

• Plant & Truck Operation: Operating excavators, skid steers and rollers. (only if licensed, not essential for the role)

• Traffic Management: Setting up signage and managing work zones to keep the team and public safe.

Licences and Qualifications Highly Desired:

• Medium Rigid (MR) Licence: Mandatory.

• White Card: General construction induction.
